ABOUT ME
My name is Elizabeth Stauffer and I live in Three Hills, AB, with my husband and our three children.
When I was pregnant with my first child, pregnancy was a complete unknown to me and I was scared of giving birth. Our friend was our doula and she provided great resources and information during our pregnancy. She helped my husband and I have a great labour and birth experience and since then I have always been drawn to birth stories. After hearing a number of negative birth experiences, I wondered how or if these negative experiences could have been prevented through additional education and support.
As your doula, my aim is to help you feel prepared, confident, and supported throughout your pregnancy and birth by providing compassionate care, evidence-based information, and a calm and steady presence.

AI got pregnant and gave birth during 2020 and the covid-19 pandemic. This made having a doula look a little bit different and Liz was amazing. We had multiple meetings using face time and phone conversations to check-in post birth.
She catered her services to what my husband and I were looking for specifically, which for us included how to work better together as a team during labour and providing support for my mental health during pregnancy and postpartum.

What I Do
VIRTUAL SUPPORT
If you do not wish to hire me for pregnancy and birth support, but would like to know more about medical options/interventions and natural coping methods, I offer these info sessions. This service includes 3 meetings that last 30-90 minutes where we will go over these different options and I can assist you with writing your birth preferences. You will also receive info guides I have put together for your use.
BASIC BIRTH PACKAGE
-1 free consultation - three prenatal visits where we discuss natural coping methods, medical options/interventions, breastfeeding basics, and the post-partum period- Assistance with birth preferences (Birth Plan) - unlimited text/phone/email support throughout pregnancy - at 38 weeks I am on call for you 24/7 until you give birth - continuous support during labour and birth - immediate breastfeeding support after birth - 1 postpartum visit
Liz attended the birth of our second child. She was calm, helpful and encouraging throughout the labour and delivery. She was also available to talk before and after the event which we appreciated.
